Create your own free header image.

Once I envied bloggers who have uploaded stunning images on their blogs' header. I cursed myself for not possessing the technical skill for even uploading beautiful header images leave alone the resources for free header images.

Today, I have found a resource from where I can create header images of my choice. Hey, I just found it and I am yet to learn how to create header images.

I am happy to share my find with you. My Theme is the tool with which you can create images for your blogs' header. As I am looking at it now, the interface seems to be user friendly alright but I am yet to try.

I think you can edit pictures and videos and make an animated image too. Even the embedded texts can be animated.

For novices like me, there is even a video tutorial on how to use My Theme.

Thank you My Theme.

Bloggers and Writers are needed.

There are two offbeat sites that are in need of Bloggers and Writers are needed. The reason behind the words bloggers and writers is because for one site, mere blogging experience is not enough.

Blue Mountain Arts is the leading greeting cards manufacturers and publishers. They are in need of very creative writers who can write the appropriate message either in the form of text or poetry for various occasions.

This is a tough job for me but what about you or your friends?

The other site that requires bloggers is Eco-friendly Solutions at EcoFuss. This is a familiar subject for hundreds of bloggers. I know many a passionate green bloggers (can I call them like that?) would jump at this opportunity.

Oh, I should give you the URL for applying- right?

I can be appointed.

If only the manufacturer of Viraguard Antimicrobial Hand Wipes tracks down their sales, I am bound to be appointed by them as their brand ambassador. Apart from the Viraguard Disinfectant Wipes, I don’t use any other skin care products.
I have this questionable belief; if my hands are clean, then my entire body is clean. And the sense of feeling clean is the ultimate confidence giver. I know not all people realize this basic health ingredient but if only they try and keep them clean not with all those other kinds of skin care products like moisturizer, fairness cream, anti-wrinkle lotions etc but clean their hands with a antibacterial napkin, they are not likely to give up that habit.
I have inculcated this habit to all my former colleagues and they spread the valuable tip to their friends. Medical shops in our locality started stocking the product that is supplied by Allegromedical.com, the leading life enhancing products in the U.S. since 1996.

Automatic commenting on 'Do Follow' blogs.

Whether or not you remove 'no follow' attribute from your template, if you say, "You comment; I follow" in your blog, you are sure to attract commentators. Of course a seasoned blogger can find out the deception but then I suppose no one deceives in this fashion.

Commenting on blogs is much easier than finding blogs that pass on link juice. I have posted a big list of 'Do Follow' blogs long ago in this blog. Find here the 'Do Follow' blogroll.

Today, I came to know about a software that crawls the blogosphere and find for you all the 'Do Follow' blogs. I appreciate the developer of this software called 'Instant Blog Links' because he clearly understood the bloggers' drive to get as many backlinks as possible from blogs that pass on link juice.

This is a new tool from Rod Beckwith who is know for his other software creations that include top-selling tools Adword Generator, Article Equalizer, Instant Affiliate Submitter and many more.

Instant Blog Links is an easy-to-download PC software you can run right on your computer.

Over a period of 6 months to one year, you can build thousands of one way backlinks by using 'Instant Blog Links' that enables you to locate 'do follow' blogs and submit useful comments to countless high-PR blogs that is always accompanied by a link to your website.

Anyone has tried this before?

When will I visit the Westgate Branson Woods?

I don’t want to die feeling sorry for not having lived up to my dream of spending at least a night and a day at the Westgate Branson Woods Resort. God has endowed me with penchant for forests and lakes on hills.

I have this habit of spending my idle time visualizing living amidst thickly wooded place that has numerous wild streams and the air is filled with the sound of insects. A rare encounter with exotic birds would be lovely too.

Branson Woods is located in the Ozark Mountains, Missouri. It is the dream place for me.

Do you see the picture here? A friend of mine sent this to me through email. He asked me,” Want to live in it?”

I was speechless when I looked at the wooden cabin with a backdrop of tall tress. I replied YES,YES.

Do you hear me God?

Yahoo's Myweb is closing.

Yahoo! MyWeb which is probably the least used social bookmark is being closed. Well, I don't use it like many others, so I don't have to move anything from Yahoo! MyWeb.

Yahoo! is of course not ditching its loyalists. Before they close the MyWeb on March 18th, they are offering some alternate solutions to the users of Myweb.

All the bookmarks on MyWeb will be automatically available in Yahoo! Bookmarks.

If you are also using Delicious, Yahoo announced a simple process of migration. First, export your MyWeb bookmarks in XML format and save it in your computer. Then log in to Delicious and upload the saved XML file by using the manual import option provided by Delicious.

And if you are not using Delicious, you are supposed to create an account with them.

Talking GPS.

In the next few posts, I am going to speak about some pretty relevant issues such as deflated bloggers, Garmin GPS that literally speaks to you and using our thinking behavior for moving in the desired direction.

So wide and still relevant topics that concern our daily life!

Well, listening to the inner voice, first I want to tell you about the Garmin GPS that I had the privilege of experiencing its performance.

See the picture of it here and now read on. This GPS’s sale is skyrocketing for its many new features that include:

It gives you voice-prompted directions;

It tells you even street names as it has a database of millions of destinations and maps for North America or Europe;

It has a wide screen for better visibility.

Above all, Buy.com offers this GPS for just $163, where as, if you buy it from else where, it will cost you $300. So, you get to save a whopping $137.

Isn’t that you would call a deal?

You own the blog, but are you there in it?

"You own the blog, but are you there in it?"-wonderful! Very thought provoking. Written by my friend Divya Uttam in her blog titled "Blogging to fame', she blogs like me or should I say I blog like her? A touch of personal should be visible in every blog post.

Even when you write a sponsored post, that personal touch should not be ignored. Read Divya's blog articles and you will find her opinions original and forthright.

This way of blogging should be learnt; it won't be easy initially for most of the new bloggers as they join the blogosphere to earn and not to blog.

Many new bloggers don't really spend time to others' blogs. It is a very valuable experience and I learnt how to pen the opening lines of a blog post, how to write good headlines, (I am yet to master it), why giving credit to your knowledge source is important, where to look for tips and guidelines etc, only by spending hundreds of hours reading others' blogs.

Blogging to fame should be subscribed by all the new comers to the blogging world. I admire Divya's knowledge and passion.

How a mathematician helped to shed weight!

My sister-in-law was said to have become fat suddenly due to… oh no, let me not go into the causes but I would like to share with you some of the weight loss tools she used that made her squeeze through the closing doors of lift smoothly. This would not have been possible without the regular intake of diet pills and the weight loss tools.

Now, don’t imagine any fancy equipments and gadgets about her weight loss tools. She only used to record her workout times, her mental state during the workouts, the scale readings, food planner, the number of calories she consumed every day, a graph prepared by a mathematician (that is me Happy 5 )

She was obsessed with her vision of shedding weight. She worked out like a manic. But the end result was worth all her efforts.

With all humility, she gave due credit to the diet pills and to me for creating those charts and graphs with which she monitored her progress.

Blog content re-writing tool.

I yielded at last to the pressure from an online contact of mine and promised to look into an article re-writing software. This said software is supposed to produce a paragraph that is different from the original that you paste into a box in the software.

I was blown away when I reviewed the software and the result of its work. I mean 'blown away' in the derogatory sense mate and not in a complimentary way. The rewritten content was simply garbage; it turned the original article into meaningless mixture of words and phrases.

I am not mentioning the name of the software or link to it here deliberately because I don't want you to waste your time in it or in any rewriting software. Stay away from them.

Blogs are meant to be personal and original.

Useless guides to buy unlocked cell phones.

If I don’t like a particular cell phone service provider, then that’s it. I need no further convincing to stick to the existing company. I give utmost importance to the efficiency of the company than to the actual working of the mobile phone which after all is only a machine, though not a dumb machine.

When I decided to switch to a different mobile phone company, I was advised to buy an unlocked phone that will prove to be cheaper. This means someone is selling their cell phone which recently ended the service period agreement. And this means I can also put up my cell phone for sale as an unlocked phone.

Well, that is a different issue.

I am concerned about buying an unlocked phone for my immediate use and for that I wanted to know where I can buy it for cheap. When I looked out for some tips and guides, all I got was useless guides on what an unlocked phone is or how to unlock a mobile phone.

Any recommendation please?

Watch it my son!

I keep breaking my own resolutions. Blame it on motherly affection. I suppose every mother that has only one son end spoiling her son and earning her husband’s wrath.

---->Khaki watch from the house of Hamilton.

The last time, I went to see a movie with my son, he wanted the motorcycle that the villain of the movie rode on. When I called a vehicle loan provider, My husband protested and as usual, I feigned deaf.

I placated my husband and promised I will not go out again with my son. And I broke the promise recently.

This time, he took me to the movie, “Men in black” and I knew I am going to spend a fortune when he repeatedly pointed out the watch the Hollywood star was wearing.

He sent several messages to his friends from his mobile, found out even before we came out of the theater that the watch that kindled desires in him was a Hamilton watch.

Oh, my heart sank! I know about Hamilton watches. They are costly but worth the price.

I know you have been eyeing on it here. Got the dough?

Placing your blog feed in Facebook.

I followed someone's instructions in a forum for bloggers and inserted my blogs' feed in my Facebook profile hoping it will drive traffic to my blogs.

But, I am sorry to say 'No'. Don't ask me how did I check the data. I didn't check but I know from other tracking tools that Facebook is not an useful avenue to increase traffic to blogs. But that should not prevent you to try it out. Your blog's content may be good.

Here is how you do it:
* Log in to Facebook and click on your 'Profile' at the top.
* Click on 'Settings' tab you will find on the next screen.
* Click on "Other Services" that appear besides "You can automatically import activity from YouTube......
* Click on "Blog/RSS" and submit your blog's home page URL and that's it.

When you publish your post again in your blog, you will a snippet of your blog post. When Facebook members visit your profile, they will be able to see your blog posts as snippets.

Which rug is right for you?

The batch of 2009 has started and as usual the admissions are on in full swing. Every year at this time, I will be loaded with funds. February is the month when I plan for big purchases.

Due to constant pestering by my son, I refurbished the sofa set. They look absolutely marvelous and inviting to sink in its comfort. The living room turned grand but something seemed to be lacking in the overall beauty.

Yes! A rug is what that is missing. I am sure a lovely red carpet would enhance the look of the refurbished sofa set.

But I had no idea about rugs, their quality and price. I even didn’t know what material is used to make rugs.

My friends offered some useful tips on how to buy rugs and where to buy rugs, what size is suitable etc.

Based on two pages of data, I decided to buy a hand crafted Asian rug. Here it is a picture of it. I am yet to buy it.

Do you like it?

Promote your blog effortlessly.

So, another innovative idea has come up to promote our blogs. The basic concept is traffic exchange.

Who offers this facility?
Ads Flip.

How it works?
Sign up for a free account.
Get a code and place it on your blog's sidebar.
A banner is displayed by this action.
Each time your blog is viewed, you earn 1 point.
You must accumulate some minimum points.
Then, you are allowed to create a banner or text ad for your products or services.
Place the ad created in adsflip.com's system.
Your ad is then automatically placed in fellow members' blogs and your earned credit used up at 1:1 ratio.
Unlike traffic exchanges, you need not surf to earn credits.

Ads Flip is a simple website with very clear instructions on how their system works. Very easy to understand slides shows are given.
