I never fail to emphasize to my blogging academy trainees that it is imperative for every serious blogger to read as many blogs as possible in their niche.

Do you see the background of the cushions? Yes, the backdrop is a beach where colorful outdoor cushions were displayed. I thought it is a brilliant idea to sell them on a beach front.

Last month, I received a pamphlet announcing the sale of outdoor cushion and the pamphlet carried a few pictures of soft cushions. I in fact wanted to buy half a dozen cushions and the ad came at the right time.

A sales flyer fell out of the newspaper. I was about to ignore it when the word ‘virtual bathing’ caught my attention. I picked up excitedly and read it. I read it again!

It was about an advertisement for walk in bathtubs and it beckoned prospective buyers to experience a virtual bathing experience at the sales depot. The ad mainly attracted just married people with enticing and rather lewd words that did not speak highly of the advertiser.

I could not hide my disappointment. The product walk in bathtub is surely a luxury item and one really enjoys a relaxing bath in it. But to say that it is for other purposes is not a healthy advertising.

Refuses to shed her load.

I thought I would let you know about a New Yorker who has confessed that she would like to enter the Guinness book of records for being the fattest teenager in the world.

When asked why she is not using weight loss products, she has said a flat ‘NO’, though she finds it amusing to read about consumer reviews of diet pills. It would be interesting to know how other fat people are taking their handicap-she said.

2. Ah, here comes the easy route. Create Google Alerts on topics of your interest, preferably in your niche. You will have your hand full of blogging ideas. This is my number one resource.

3. Some of the comments in your blog post may be worth elaborating on. You can dispute it or agree with a comment. It will be better if you throw a challenge to the commenter.

4. List posts always attract readers. Compile a big list of various resources.

5.Blog carnival is a big resource. Haven't tried it yet. You can join a blog carnival and learn what it is all about. Then, you can host one which will attract several blog posts posts.
