How to let Google know the existence of your blog?

Does Google know your site exists? Of course it knows. Nothing can escape from its eyes. Google is all powerful.

Nevertheless, you can still check whether Google knows your site by simply typing in its search box the following.
site:yoururl.com
Example: site:onlinemoneyworld.com

You will see the existence from the search results. It is as simple as that.

If your site is not in Google Webmaster tools, it would ask you to do that. The top search results would show you what you have to do.

 

Follow the on screen instructions to clim the ownership of your site with Google webmaster tools.

I wonder how many Indian bloggers are aware the official Google Blog for India

I knew about it for long. I have read some extraordinary information in it that affected all the bloggers from India in many ways. There were new information regarding Google's privacy policy updates, and blogging tools and plugins.

Of late, Google's official blog contains more diverse news that include Bollywood, Indian politics that affects the way Indians use the Internet and more.

Since, I no longer find it useful to me as a full time blogger, I stopped reading it. However, there is something for everyone.

Are you aware that Google is redirecting blogspot blogs to country specific domains? In order to comply Indian Government censorship rules, Google has taken this measure.

Similar to the "I like it" button in the Facebook, this button will inform us who many people liked a particular web page on search results page.

I hope you realize the importance and value of this users' vote on our web sites and blogs. I am sure this metric will carry more weight than the Google Pagerank.

I forsee creative articles and tutorials from passionate search engine marketing professionals on how to get more '+' for our web pages. Yes, we have a chance to get lots of '+' for inner pages too.

There is no doubt in my mind that original and high quality content will get votes fro human beings which are more true than Google's search engine based votes leading to its own page rank.

I feel this is a master stroke of Google to refrain the article based sites to get high rank the in the search engines. Novices may not know but veterans know that there are more rewritten articles in the articles sites than written by a qualified and original writer whose content is constantly molested by every article writer.

I am eagerly awaiting to see the '+' button that would direct me to top class information in the Internet.

Will Sony beat Google?

It might I think. Sony is only 0.15 points behind Google's score of 78.62. This score is given based on consumer admiration of the products of Google and Sony in terms of technological improvement.

But I think Sony won't be able to beat Google because Google plays a big role in all our lives whereas Sony is important only to those who buy Sony gadgets. Goggle offers several free products whereas you need to buy Sony's products.

Yahoo! news has covered the story elaborately. Look at the Google ad revenue that is reported at a whopping $6.7 billion in the first quarter of 2010!
