What to do after publishing a blog post-part 6-Join Better Blogger Network.

If your focus is on something very seriously, you are likely to find them; cosmic forces work that way. I found out a superb bloggers network as I wanted to continue writing blog posts titled, “What to do after publishing a blog post”. Thus far, I have written 5 parts and this is the sixth part. Scroll down where I have given links to my previous posts in this series.
In this blog post, I am featuring a network for bloggers called Better Blogger Network (BBN). Hosted in Ning, it is actively participated by hundreds of bloggers (yes, not thousands) who blog on different niches.
What is the purpose of BBN:
I quote them:
The Better Blogger Network is an online community dedicated to providing a safe, judgment-free place for bloggers to find the help, resources, and fresh ideas they need to reach their goals.”
What you can do in BBN?
·         Join existing niche groups similar to Linkedin and Facebook groups
·         Create your own group(s)
·         Mention everything you wanted to show off in your profile.

I have given my profile like this:

There are lots of groups that might interest varied blogger. Some groups have a fair number of members while some show only single digit number of members.
If you find a group to your liking, you have to apply to join and wait for approval. I first applied for a ‘Beauty’ bloggers group and waited nearly a week to get approval.
Here are some of the groups that are popular:
·         Fashion and Style                         130 members
·         New bloggers                                439
·         Coffee loving                                 62
There are some poorly patronized but rare groups that include “Klout” group, Google plus, Linkedin and Facebook ‘likes’ exchange etc. Once inside a group, you can create or join a discussion on a relevant topic, make a wall post, add a any member as your friend, send a message to him and so on. Wonderful opportunity to create a long standing network.

You can also give your blog’s RSS feed URL to the group. Below is the screenshot of my RSS feed published by BBN.

There is a forum, a welcome page for any niche community or network. Forum is a true place to share and learn. You can introduce yourself, share your latest blog posts, offer to write sponsored blog posts Ad Swaps, Banner swaps,  and more. Lively place.

The more you participate in Better Blogger Network (BBN) and the more you spread about it in the Internet, the better for you. It applied to every member.

I love to be a member of BBN. Do you?

The best blog traffic comes from...

The best blog traffic comes from blogcatalog.com If you are aware of the traffic analysis provided by Google in its blogger platform based blogs, you find the traffic sources for your blog.

In other words, you will know which site has sent you more visitors. My blogs are more frequented by the members of Blog Catalog. This means they are knowledgeable bloggers and internet marketers.

I have been associated with blogcatalog.com since 2006 and I must confess that I have not been an active participant in blogcatalog.com of late. I feel I should reciprocate my interest in others' blogs.

In addition, if I participate in some of the groups I have joined in blog catalog, my blogs will get more visitors.

Thank you blog catalog members for all the interest you have shown in my blogs.

BlogCatalog goes social and absolutely viral.

If only you spend more time in Blog Catalog, you will realize its immense potential to the promotion of all your blogs.

They keep coming out with enhancements that enables its users to make use of all the features in an enjoyable way. For example, I liked their 'groups' from the launch date and visiting them once in a way. I should visit more frequently.

Then their 'discussions' section is also participated actively giving me a chance to learn hundreds of things.

Now here is their latest announcement:
"In the next couple of days, BlogCatalog is launching a social Dashboard beta, a new feature that displays your latest activities across many social networks — Digg, Flickr, Last.fm, Twitter, YouTube, and many others.

That means automatic cross-networking and promotion right from your personal profile page. It also means that the your post updates, Twitter comments, Digg submissions, and other activities will appear on the Dashboard of all your BlogCatalog friends, and maybe their friends too. This is the kind of networking that can make posts go viral".

I feel with this feature, Blog Catalog compels the attention of bloggers and making it as the unbeatable leader in Bloggers' Community.

Supern network of Blogs on Products.

This blogging network is unearthed by me a few minutes ago only. I don't know how it escaped my attention so far.

Blogpire Productions is a collection of blogs that concentrate on various products like gadgets, food, coffee etc.

I am a coffee lover. The first product in this network I saw was on coffee. I think that brought me to this network of blogs.

Here is the blog-Single Serve Coffee-a blog dedicated to single serve and one cup coffee machines, coffee, and accessories. This is one of the finest blogs I have ever seen. It is amazing to know that this niche blog on coffee alone has been in existence since 2004. Imagine the content of the blog and the the sheer passion of the blogger!

A sample of categories for you:
Bunn My Cafe
Caffeine and Coffee
Classic Coffee Makers
Coffee Concentrates & Extracts
Coffee Cups & Travel Mugs
Coffee Gadgets & Accessories
Coffee Pod Reviews
Coffee Pods
Coffee Tables
Coffee Visits
Cuisinart
Espresso Pods

Have you ever heard of iPod Coffee Mug? The picture is given below.

The only thing that I noticed was the structure of the permalink which is not search engine friendly.

Do you know the 9 rules?

Knowing the 9 rules is easy but you need follow these 9 rules as long as you don't join it. mrgreen

After reading a few of my blog posts, one veteran internet marketer from U.K. emailed me and complimented on my blogging knowledge. I considered it as a very good compliment coming from an Englishman.

He recommended that I visit 9rules.com and start reading the articles there since he found them as excellent.

Si, I obediently visited and browsed a few articles on writing and women. I can't say that I am very much impressed since the style of writing did not make me linger to fully read one article. It must be that I have other blogging assignments that are on the back of my mind.

Well, 9rules.com is said to contain well written articles on a great array of topics. Visit the site if you have time or inclination to read contributions from others.

Join Digital Folders Network of bloggers.

I join a bloggers network for the obvious reasons.
To increase my blog page rank and traffic.
To befriend bloggers just for the sake of friendship.
To read various blogs. I am genuinely interested in reading your blog.

But this is the first time I am learning about earning some cash by joining a bloggers network.
Digital Folders Network is inviting bloggers to join their growing network of bloggers.
* We can join them and submit our existing blogs to be integrated into their network.
* We can create a blog within their network
* We can join them in the capacity of a guest blogger.

I presume many of you will be interested in the first category. For your reference, I quote them below.
"Usually, the integration process is fairly simple: all that is required is reservation of ad space in your template to be made available for sale through our network (number of sports and sizes to be discussed). In these spaces, you can run whatever ads you wish (you probably already have AdSense or affiliate ads running somewhere in your sidebars), up to the moment that the network sells the space. From this point on, the advertiser ad starts running. This whole process is done through our ad server, but you’ll get to know more about the mechanisms after your application.

For these spaces, we share time and revenue on a 25-75% basis to you. Any other form of blog monetization is up to you and we won’t interfere with that."

They say that they are currently accepting self hosted blogs to join their network. I must admit my ignorance about the exact meaning of self hosted blog though I think I know. Since I was not sure about it, I submitted this blog.(smile)

I am sure many of this blog readers might be interested to join this network. Please spread the word for the benefit of others.

Oh, yes! They also have a forum for their network members though it is not actively participated.
