How to increase your blog's pageviews?

Remember, pageviews is a single word and it is a blog traffic measure. It is an important metric for probloggers. They will be asked to reveal the blog's pageviews when applying to blog marketing companies.

When you launch a blog, the pageviews will be almost negligible but as the blog attracts readers, the pageviews will increase.
How do you get your readers to read more than one page in your blog when they land on your blog's home page ?

Here are a few tips.

1. Create pages within our blog that contain reference material you refer to often in your posts. These static pages will certainly get crawled and indexed by the search engine robots and as you write posts about your topics, you can refer people to these static pages as references to what you are posting about. Got it?

2. Refer to other posts you have made on your blog or on another one of your blogs while posting. This gets the reader to click over to previous posts. It is known as inter linking. A wise strategy.

3. Create a page that links to your favorite posts that are timeless. You browse your old posts, find posts that you want readers to find easily, then build a links page with those posts directly linked. Then add a link to that page from your front page. Call it favorite posts or whatever and you will benefit by those that click through and follow those links.

4. I've posted here before about the "more" tag. You write your post as normal, then decide where you want to break the post up onto a new page. You put the more tag in and readers have to click to a new page to read the rest of the story.

5. Write once per week special projects. These are a series of articles on a particular topic. You will be offering it once per week giving readers a week to comment on it, then have them hanging on for next weeks special post in the series. Each time add links to previous posts in that series. It is an excellent internet marketing strategy.

6. Using your content from your other websites or blogs is also a great way to get more pageviews for all of them. Use the target new tag and refer to material on your other blogs and websites. It will open a new window leaving the current blog open while they visit your other website or blog. You can quickly double up your pageviews while also introducing your readers to your other websites and blogs.

7. Make a list of 10 previous posts and the links to those posts. Make a post in your blog about 10 things you want your readers to know and read in case they have not done so before. At your suggestion they will at least go see if they have read those posts before, increasing your pageviews once again plus bringing old material to new readers. That also lets them know they should browse the archives for things they have missed.

8. Using that same list of 10 posts or a new one, visit other blogs on your topic. Find posts that talk about something similar to one of those 10 posts, then instead of adding a link in your signature to the home page, make a comment there and refer to the post that is similar and that contains helpful information to that blogger and their readers. You will also be increasing your link popularity while doing this. Do not spam the link. Make sure it actually contains useful information.

9. Do not stop being creative. Use the tips in this article, plus invent some of your own ways to interlink your blog posts together. Create pages. Don't just post and forget. That content is valuable, use it. Do not make people search your blog. They are lazy and busy. Bring it to them. That is just good customer service.

I hope this article helps you learn there is more to blogging than just writing a post once in awhile or even daily. If you employ the tips I just gave you into your blog I guarantee you will increase your pageviews which in turn will increase your revenue if using an ad program in your blog.

Is it really possible to generate traffic to your blog through Facebook?

When you browse through Facebook with professional eyes of an Internet marketer, you will see posting from all the fishes of blogosphere sharing the links to their blog posts, Fan pages etc. Why do they do that? Do they expect casual browsers like you and I to click on their FB posts and visit their web pages?
Yes, obviously. So, it is possible to use the social media giant FB to attract visitors to your websites and blogs. Here are some useful tips which you can use to emulate professional social media marketers.
1.  Complete Your Profile in all aspects.
To use FB as a tool to establish yourself as an expert in your field and drive traffic to your blog, you need to include as many details of you as possible in your profile that include links to your blogs, photos of yourself and blog posts, your personal interests and professional achievements etc.  Don’t you want visitors to your FB page to all about you to connect with you?
2.  Find Friends
By using the search box intelligently, you can find friends that you know and want o know or want them to know you. When you find people who match your search criteria,  send them a friend request!
3.  Join Groups or Create Your Own Group

FB groups are great places to gain friends, to propagate your blog posts and visit blog posts of others that interest you. Alternatively, you can create your own FB group too. Do you know that you send out group invitations to all of your Facebook friends? However, please do not spam the groups you join by sharing irrelevant posts.

Subjects of blog posts that attract high search engine traffic.

I am a firm believer of visitors to my blog that that my master, the mighty Google sends. I really don't believe that social traffic will last long. They are very short lived. You cannot expect a repeat visit.

However, search engine traffic also known as organic traffic will:
* get you 100% targeted visitors
* get you repeat visitors
* get you visitors through RSS feed subscriptions
* increase slowly but steadily.

If you want to tap  that kind of targeted traffic, blog about:
* online money earning
* lists of ... pertaining to entertainment field and travelling
* where people can get something free (it can be anything but should be unconditional free stuff)
* sites that offer discount coupons
* trending stuff that hit the headlines
* comparative shopping especially about vehicle insurance, credit cards

In my experience, these are evergreen blogging niches for high traffic which means good money.

Take it or leave it!

Would Pinterest increase blog traffic?

Pinterest.com is a virtual pin board where you and I can pin up anything we like. It includes images and videos.

You pin it up and if I happen to see it, I like it and say it so. It applies to other also. I saw some great content in the food sector accompanied by stunning images.

The site is picking up and attracting plenty of visitors a day. Since the content is diverse, it is difficult to get away from it. Thus, it is an ideal website to get blog post ideas and content.

In addition, you can develop a serious network of loyal readers. Use your imagination to create your pin board that can retain the visitors for long. If you spend time looking at others' pin boards, you will get plenty of creative ideas.

Others can follow your pin boards and they can re-pin the content they like, which adds it to one of their own pin boards. Users can also comment on each others' pins.

To join Pinterest, you need an invitation. It is made from the web site itself.

If you are a shrewd Internet marketers, you can use Pinterest optimally to attract regular visitors.

Would Google plus help your blog?

If you are also going to blog about Google plus, never write as Google +.

How bloggers can make use of Google plus to attract more targeted visitors? This question is widely raised in the Internet marketing forums and as expected, answers are diverse. Though the number indicates that there are already 10 million Google plus users, I feel it would take a long time to make the Facebook loyalists to betray Facebook.

Here are some answers that I gathered from various places in the web:

* Google allows to place links to your blogs. This means you can also link to your digital foot print.
* Sharing of information is allowed like any other social networking sites.
* I find it easy to add friends and people with similar interests.

Due to lack of patience, I give below a link to a blog post that has pointed several features of Google plus.

It will help you to grasp the full potential of Google plus.

Trackbacks-where have they gone?

Do you remember how bloggers were urged to use trackbacks a few years ago? Every famous blogger, every SEO professional took time to emphasize the utility of the trackbacks in blogosphere.

Bloggers made use of the trackbacks to know who links back to their blog posts and genuinely reciprocated by linking back to other bloggers. This resulted in targeted traffic to the bloggers.

Of late, I find bloggers are becoming selfish and not reciprocating inbound links. Either they are too busy or simply not bothered about who mentions their blog posts in their blogs.

I have been linking to all the blog posts that I mention in this blog but I don't see any improvements in my blog's inbound links.

Do you have any comments on the subject?

Why targetted blogging is difficult?

Even after 5 years of blogging, I find I am still learning the nuances of targeted blogging. Thus far, I have been blogging what comes naturally to me without seriously looking into the aspects of inserting frequently searched keywords.

Every time, I come across profitable keywords, I note them down only to use them in my next blog post but always forgetting to incorporate.

I find I am even lagging behind blog promotion that I was actively involved a year ago. I think I am getting contended with the money I get for doing blogging assignments as a ghost blogger.

So what I planned to do to attract targeted traffic?
I intend to convert keyword rich PLR articles into unique blog posts without disturbing the keyword density. I tried it several times earlier but my natural blogging interfered always.

I have already identified several bloggers who boast of over 2000 email subscribers to their blogs' RSS feed. They are my inspiration. I planned to use their blogs' topic in my blogs.

What do you say? Will it work?

How to increase blog traffic in simple ways?

One of my friend has been desperate to increase his blog readership and another friend of mine got Google PR4 without doing any Internet marketing at all! How did this happen?

Hey, I know Google PR doesn't mean big traffic. It also didn't mean that second friend's blog as no traffic.

So, how to increase blog traffic simply?
* I have learnt that the topic of the blog decides the traffic. There is really no point in blogging about a subject that has no search volume at all.
* Participate in revenue sharing sites where you get instant readers o your post.
* Submit to RSS feed directories.
* Use Facebook effectively
* Use Zemanta as your main blogging tool.
* Use Google groups to increase visitors.
* If you can write a press release, it will be a great traffic puller.

Try all these one by one and you will certainly see results.

How to build loyal readership?

How frequently you check your email daily? I check my email more than 10 times a day. This has proved to be beneficial for me as I am able to spot the current hot topic in the world of Internet.

I have subscribed to so many RSS feeds, set up several Google Alerts that inform me what is being talked about by a majority of people and what is being searched by thousand of people all over the world.

I am able to pick up a very hot topic almost instantly as it is known to the rest of the world. I quickly blog about it or weave an article. The articles thus I wrote have fetched me a decent number of visitors.

Over the years, I have thus developed an image as an internet writer and built my loyal readership.

You can also do this!

Wonderful analysis of your blog's performance.

Every blogger who are committed to their blogs would like to know how their blogs are received in the blogosphere and who reads them.

They also would like to know:
* Who is linking to their blog posts
* The number of page views
* In how many social bookmarking sites their blog appears
* How many comments were received for their blog posts

Google Analytics produces some performance data but it is not always sufficient to know all the above information.

I read that analytics.postrank.com/ gives you these important analyses. It also gives your blogs a score of engagement. That will definitely be an useful guidance to improve our blog promotion effort.

Try it now.

Free traffic site for bloggers.

Right now, I am experimenting with a new website that is said to increase blog traffic free of cost. In fact, we can earn money to use that web site.

Yes, I have seen some negligible amount against my name but I am satisfied with the numberof visits my blog got so far.

I have asked some questions to the site's support staff and I have been receiving polite replies promptly.

The reason I am not mentioning the site name here is, I am still not very clear about the user interface. I hope to understand it in a day or two.

Tomorrow, I will be attending the mega event of Chennai Bloggers Meet organized by indiblogger.in I will look into the free traffic site again on Sunday and get back here with my experience.

Please stay tuned to this blog post.

Placing your blog feed in Facebook.

I followed someone's instructions in a forum for bloggers and inserted my blogs' feed in my Facebook profile hoping it will drive traffic to my blogs.

But, I am sorry to say 'No'. Don't ask me how did I check the data. I didn't check but I know from other tracking tools that Facebook is not an useful avenue to increase traffic to blogs. But that should not prevent you to try it out. Your blog's content may be good.

Here is how you do it:
* Log in to Facebook and click on your 'Profile' at the top.
* Click on 'Settings' tab you will find on the next screen.
* Click on "Other Services" that appear besides "You can automatically import activity from YouTube......
* Click on "Blog/RSS" and submit your blog's home page URL and that's it.

When you publish your post again in your blog, you will a snippet of your blog post. When Facebook members visit your profile, they will be able to see your blog posts as snippets.

How to increase marketing conversion rate?

Every blogger is striving hard to promote his blog to get more and more visitors daily. I am tapping several blog marketing resources like actively participating in bloggers forum and blogging communities.

I also do social bookmarkings and outsource blog directory submissions. But I don’t get the desired results due to low conversion rate. When I hired a SEO specialist for just one hour, he reported that my advertising efforts are not enough to get a better response conversion rate.

In order to get a higher conversion rate optimization, the SEO person suggested a series of steps o be taken immediately else I will lose even the current blog traffic though I blog about useful matter to Bloggers.

I realized what I should do to achieve a higher conversion rate of up to 100% if not 900%.

Please, I urge you to visit websiteoptimization.com/services/marketing/conversion.html without any delay. I am sure you will find the site very useful.

10 powerful ways for blog traffic.

I am sure you might have read a blog post with the same title as here at least a dozen times and like most bloggers never bothered to read it again and try to implement one of the ways in your blog.

Well, never mind. The effort from serious bloggers goes on and similarly the 'no effort' from serious bloggers also goes on.

I happen to see the title mentioned here in the Blog Rush's widget in this blog, clicked on it, read only up to the third point and started writing this blog post.

Here is the third point:

"Sell Things via Your Blog

Although some blog readers are just there to read the words and that’s all, many others are interested in making purchases along the way. With that said, you want to provide them with the opportunity to buy something while reading your blog, whether it be your own items or ones provided by outside companies through affiliate programs and pay per click programs."

What do say about this? I think it is worthwhile to implement it. Say, why not join Amazon affiliate program and include a link to any of the blogging world products?

Well, I did so and below is a product that many will be interested.

The reason for blog traffic drop.

* So, the oil price is galloping towards $150 per barrel.
* Petrol bunks are shutting down.
* Freighters are off the road
* Essential goods' price have become beyond the means of many including me.
* Flight tickets' price is increased
* Travel related websites have reported drop in traffic and sales.

I agree the atmosphere is gloomy but why this very blog is getting lesser number of visitors for the past week? Have my blog readers have turned their attention else where?

Am I not blogging regularly or is something wrong with my content?

Just exactly what is happening? sad

Tell me please...

Are you a blogger mom?

So, here is one more place for women bloggers who are also moms to interact with each other, share thoughts and socialize.

When I was submitting the blogs in various blog directories, I stumbled onto mommy community. I immediate joined the team of other mommy bloggers and you can see a graphic badge in this blog at the right sidebar.

They provide valuable resources for moms to work and earn from their home. For example, I like their idea of marketing jewelry from home. This can really turn out to be a substantial money earners for all moms.

There is much for me there and I can't write about everything here. One visit to them will make you see the potential of participating in their Link Love.
