Which social media is the best for real estate agents?

Which social media marketing is most effective for real estate agents?

I would say that FaceBook leads the pack. This is one area in digital marketing industry where there are no differences of opinions.  If at all there is some dispute, I don't think there would substantial statistics to prove that I am wrong; as a matter of fact, my opinion is echoed by millions of Internet entrepreneurs.

Nevertheless, the most successful realtors who aggressively use FaceBook to market their real estate dealings also use blogging very smartly. Blogs play larger roles in taking your products and services across the netizens.

The next big social media for real estate brokers is of course Pinterest where images and videos are shared with just a click of a button. Pictures of houses and condominiums posted by property dealers catch the eyes of pinterest users instantly. In addition, if I like an image in Pinterest posted by other, I can 'like' it, make a 'comment' and also 'repin' it on my own PIN board. This viral effect proves to be a great benefit for those who market with images.

I know majority of you won't agree when I say Twitter ranks the last in social media bunch as of now.

How to test social media signals?

Of late, we keep reading frequently of social media signals, social butterflies etc making us wonder whether we are getting worthy signals to our social media marketing.

I picked up some very interesting infostats about social signals, steps to be taken beforehand and finally measure the results. Naturally, we have to take Google as the weighbridge.

6 sites in name niche were marketed through the following highly popular social media marketing methods:
1. Getting followers to a Google Plus page
2. Getting G+ votes
3. Getting FaceBook likes
4. Getting retweets
5. Getting Twitter followers

The first method pushed up the site in Google SERPs by 14.63 position! What does this imply?
Obviously, Google values its own social signals.

Google Panda and Penguin (BTW, who gives such names )
updates have created big ripples in the social marketing ocean.

Every blog post of every respected blog master that I have subscribed to mentions these social media signals, social butterflies etc but they don't really elaborate on what next to do.

I have read enough of writing unique, keyword rich content for better SE rankings. Is there any worthy ebook or step by step guide on strengthening social media signals?
Any recommendation?
How to test social media signals?
 Thanks in advance.

If you are in a bar, post your blog post to....

If you are sitting a bar and just completed publishing a blog post, you can promote it in Foursquare, a leading social network.

If you think it is not a very interesting blog post, you can post it in Linkedin.

Very amusing and odd-isn't it?

I read this piece of information on a blog post titled, Flowchart to Decide Which Social Network to Post on!

Visit the link above for information about blog promotion through social media sites.

It was written by Aditya Kane as a guest blog post in devilsworkshop.com, a blog to which I have subscribed to its Rss feed. Authored by Rahul Bansal, it has some great content that every bloggers should read.

Bloggers are constantly influenced articles and blog post about the importance of promoting the blog posts in social networking sites to gain visitors. In this effort, a blog post written about nursery rhymes would be promoted on social network for musicians. Yes, it is true.

While promoting in social media sites, bloggers should be very choosy about which social sites are suitable to carry your blog post.

The noise and hype about social media marketing.

Obviously there is a lot of noise and hype about promoting your blogs through social media websites like Digg, Delicious, Mixx and Sphinn. I have deliberately cut short the list.

I think bloggers who actively mention about the importance of social media sites to the world of blogging have not fully exposed the secret behind the value of social media sites.

Like you and thousands of other bloggers, I too submit my blog posts occasionaly in Digg and Reddit only to draw a blank in terms of new visitors. No! Don't start writing that content is important. I know.

Unless, you have a big and loyal following in Digg like sites and they all Digg your submission that pushes it to the front page, there is no way your blog can get traffic. Let this sink in now!

Everyone is busy submitting their favorite links in social media sites; none is remotely interested in reading yours.
