Where to get ideas for attention pulling titles.

No, of course blogging is here to stay.

Read my previous blog post titled, "Is blogging going to be obsolete?" to get an idea what I am talking about.

Though the blog post didn't receive many comments, I have received a few emails praising me to coin a debatable and attention pulling title.

That inspires me to spend more time in writing the titles of my future blog posts. Let me see how I am going to come up with something good all the times. I guess I must read more blogs daily.

I get a lot of ideas of phrasing the title when I read Arthur Conon Doyle. He is simply superb. Ah yes, there is my favorite Somerset Maugham.

Do you suggest any ideas?

Use keyword search tool for better titles.

I am joining with thousands of bloggers who don't not always come up with attractive headlines. It is quite normal for a less creative person like me to get stuck up at writing attractive headlines.

I just read about in a blog post by Jay on how to use Google's key word suggestion tool to write good headlines. I know that that tool is used by advertisers only but I find nothing wrong using it for our benefit. If you read the said blog post, you will understand.

I think this tool can be effectively used for coming with better titles. I have rechecked several of my earlier titles and the results showed that I am not at all creative.

Is your blog haunted by flamers?

I get a total of 250 visitors daily to my blogs. Of them, I get about 6 comments but not daily.

Yes, one or two comments are occasionally from flamers. But I just don't publish those comments. I don't get angry over them.

I read a blog post in daily blog tips about ways to handle flamers. I enjoyed one sentence by the author.
"Others may be reasonable people who are just having a bad day when they comment."

Then of course, I went through those tips to handle flamers. Again I could help appreciate this point.
"Be tolerant of criticism.
It’s often said that the best bloggers are thick-skinned, and with good reason. Criticism is inevitable with large audiences. Moreover, it’s healthy for you to not only weather criticism, but learn and grow as a result of it. If someone is criticizing you, take a step back and ask, “Is this person flaming or simply disagreeing with me?” If it’s the latter, don’t take it personally; embrace it as an opportunity for growth."

Oh, do I have a thick skin? I think so. I never react neither positively nor negatively to a feedback. However, don't normally fail to reply back but mostly refrain from doing so.
