The next Carnival of Pregnancy is this Friday.

"If you have a post on anything pertaining to pregnancy (yours or someone else's) please go over to BlogCarnival and submit it!. All you need to do is fill out the easy form. All entries are due by Wednesday."

You can see many such announcements on the home page of blogcarnival.

I strongly believe this can be the top blog promotion method.

What is a Blog Carnival?
In short, a blog carnival is dedicated to a particular topic and anyone who has a blog post in that topic, can participate in the blog carnival by just submitting the pernmalink for his/her blog post.

In their words:
"A Blog Carnival is a particular kind of blog community. There are many kinds of blogs, and they contain articles on many kinds of topics. Blog Carnivals typically collect together links pointing to blog articles on a particular topic.

A Blog Carnival is like a magazine. It has a title, a topic, editors, contributors, and an audience. Editions of the carnival typically come out on a regular basis (e.g. every Monday, or on the first of the month). Each edition is a special blog article that consists of links to all the contributions that have been submitted, often with the editor’s opinions or remarks."

Ok, let me give you a few examples of blog carnival.
Carnival against child abuse at Survivors Can Thrive!
Carnival of the recipes at Morning Coffee & Afternoon Tea
Carnival of career intensity at The Career Intensity Blog

I agree with BC that blog carnivals are the best way for bloggers to recognize each other's efforts, and get to know each other in their niche.

So, when you browse through the huge list of carnivals, I am sure you will participate in many.
