The importance of Reciprocal Links for Bloggers.
Tuesday, January 29, 2013
Free, juicy, do follow links.
If the incoming links come from related niches or big search engines, the attraction is worth big money too. No matter how many inbound links your blogs can boast of, you would never be satisfied with the numbers.
I intend to share my knowledge with you. Whenever I come across websites and blogs that offer you to get linked with the 'no follow' attribute removed (simply said, they are 'do follow'), I will blog about them here.
Here it goes, the first 'do follow' link. It is free.
Go to skillpages.com and create your skills profile page. Whatever links you add in your profile will be 'do follow' links.
Here is a screenshot of my skills page.
Those are the links to my blogs and social profiles. All of them are juicy 'do follow' links. In addition, skill pages is a fantastic place to get connected with quality people. If your skills are in high demand area, you might get hired.
In addition, you can outsource any work that you need.

How To Get Free Backlinks From Ebay?
However, links from authority sites and several respected web 2.0 properties would get due recognition. It is what I am led to believe.
A blog post was dug out of the drafts in my blog a few minutes ago that said,
How To Get Free Backlinks From Ebay .....
A backlink from eBay! I thought that must be juicy !
I read the blog post and I urge you to do so. It is very useful.
Please pass it on.

WP plugin for automatic link building.
An email from Brad Callen notified me about a new wordpress plugin that builds automatically every time you publish a blog post. I have great respect for the Callen brothers but I am surprised they promote an automatic product in the Internet marketing industry.
I believe Google abhors auto link building and auto blog posting. Any kind of manual link building exclusively to boost search engine rankings is looked down by Google.
Any more insight on the topic?

Don't build links.
Google keeps changing its algorithms to fine tune their search results and it is penalizing blogs and web sites that show in-bound links from totally unrelated and spammy sites. Google is especially firm in lowering the existing search engine rankings of sites that boats of hundreds of profile links.
Therefore, first stop buying/building profile links. Don't waste your time and money. If you don't believe me, do your research and decide for yourself.
The following in-bound linking methods are still considered important:
* Blogs comments left on blogs of same niche with a higher PR than yours
* The same applies to signature links in forums
* Build Squidoo lens with a link back to your blog
As far as I have gathered, article marketing is almost useless. Of course, if your article gets syndicated, it is valuable.
I recently read an wonderful article on this issue by Lee Dobbins. I am sorry I forgot the link. f I get it back, I will update this blog post.
Ah yes, here it is-the informative article by Lee Dobbins. It is a 'must-read' piece.

152 comments for an article on link building.
*Aren't you interested in finding out?
* Would you like to know what is meant by 'Link Trio'?
* Are you aware of 'grey hat' ?
In an in depth tutorial, Viper Chill is at his usual best about link building by a method called 'Link Trio' with comprehensive graphics. It is a rather lengthy blog post. I had to read it twice to assimilate the details.
It is more or link a link wheel. Please visit his blog post here:

How to get do follow links from Google?

So you think you cannot get backlinks from Google that pass on link juice? You are mistaken if you think so. You can get juicy one way back links from Google itself that 'Do Follow' your links. I suppose you already have Google account-Gmail, AdSense or Adwords? Here is what you do.
Setup a public profile by going to:
http://www.google.com/profiles/
You will see a provision to 'Edit your profile'.
Click on that and fill up first your personal details.
Then scroll down where you will find a provision to add your links to your blogs and websites.
All the links you add here are DoFollow!

Increase link popularity instantly.

Opinion may differ but there is a semblance of truth in the effectiveness of increasing the link popularity through reciprocal link exchange.
There is a widespread opinion that reciprocal link exchange has fallen out of Google's favoritism. Why then Google is giving a widget to host your own blogroll in your blog? Some (many?) say that reciprocal link exchange should be done with only related blogs.
I beg to differ. I really like to visit several blogs on a regular basis that are not in my blog's niche. Why shouldn't I include them in the list of my favorites?
Blogosphere is a big community of helping each other and I think it is ethical to exchange links with the blogs I like.
If you agree with me, use Links Pal to exchange links. It is free. You can exchange links with blogs in your niche also as the links are neatly categorized.

Cross link exchange.

By-passing the new comers to the blogosphere, I am calling attention to all the experienced bloggers who have this burning desire to get backlinks.
You all probably know that getting backlinks from similar niche is very important than getting backlinks from all and sundry. I know we still give in to such links too because something is better than nothing.
If you want to gain exposure through cross promotion partnerships with like-minded blogs and sites, please go to Link Like. As the name suggests, we can get links from other blogs of the same category as ours.
There are plenty of categories that include personal blog, consumer products, business services, professional blog, user services and shopping.

High PR back links.
I agree with his opinion fully. Making sensible comments on various blog posts is the best way to get one way backlinks provided your links are followed.
Commenting on blog posts that are archived but still have a high PR is more productive. But we need to spend a lot of time to search the archives that have high PR.
Wizcoder has given a short list of archived blog posts that have PR 6 to PR 3. He also mentioned a technique to find archived blog posts with good PR.
Thank you Wizcder.

A superb blog helping new and experienced bloggers.
Today’s featured blog is Blogged out.com
I found out plenty of news and useful tips for the blogging community.
For example, please read the topics below:
Tweaking your Blog to Increase traffic
Rather than writing blog articles that are 300 words, he suggests to configure the blog so that 25 blog posts appear per page and he tasted instant success.
Promote your Blog on Washington Post.com
Visit the Washington Post Blogroll signup page and make sure you write a little about your blog, and what it can offer the readers in good English free of grammar and spelling mistakes.
Blogrolling - Link Management Tool for Bloggers
Blogrolling is a link management solution for your blog, which will help you manage your links, especially for those that are using Blogger, Live Journal etc but definitely not wordpress platform.
By this way you don’t have to edit loads of HTML code, which could mess up your theme, and cause you no end of problems – Blogrolling takes away all of that hassle.
Happy blogging.
