Even passionate bloggers like me sometimes go blank for blog content ideas. At such times, I dig up one of my blog posts published one or two years ago, dust it, proof read, change a little and publish again.

Even though I have compiled a huge resource for blog content ideas, I feel lazy to look them up.

In my continuing quest for compiling ideas and resources for blog content, I stumbled on to quora.com yesterday.

Quora.com is the place where people go and ask questions on myriad topics and passionate trouble shooters patiently answer the questions as experts. It is a free platform for ardent knowledge seekers.

I could gather several useful topics for 3 of my blogs that I could not update as frequently as I was due to drying up of ideas to blog about.

Don't be a content rapist.

Like you, I too got attracted to the words, 'content rapist'. I stumbled on to this somewhere in the web and that too long ago. Suddenly I remembered it and thought in what context the term content rapist might have been used!

I could think some of the following popular internet marketing strategies:
* Using PLR and rewriting it
* Autoblogging software

I could accept the rewriting of PLR content to some extent but never the creation of blogs using automatic blog post. It can be termed as content raping.

Make money by telling the world about your best list.

I am not pulling your legs. You can make money by compiling your top 10 list and telling the world about it.

Are you wondering what you can write about? Think about a minute and you are sure to come up with your own top 10 list. Please be aware that list posts attract fantastic visitors and that too targeted visitors.

Here are a few examples:
* Top 10 quotes on gold that you enjoyed and remembered
* 10 best wordpress plugins

It need not be always top 10 buddy. It can be 'best 5' or effective 3' and so on.

I never face shortage of ideas for blog content. I have compiled a big database of resources and reference materials for blog content. Ask me blog content ideas for any topic and I will give you resources.

5 blogging ideas.

I read that even Darren Rowse will fall short of blogging ideas once in a way. So, it happens to all of us bloggers! Here are 5 ideas to blog about in your blog. They are nothing new to veterans but for newbies, these old ideas are always fresh.

1. Write about a blog post in your niche. If you are like me, you would have subscribed to at least a dozen blogs in your niche. Do a short review on any one of the blog posts.

2. Ah, here comes the easy route. Create Google Alerts on topics of your interest, preferably in your niche. You will have your hand full of blogging ideas. This is my number one resource.

3. Some of the comments in your blog post may be worth elaborating on. You can dispute it or agree with a comment. It will be better if you throw a challenge to the commenter.

4. List posts always attract readers. Compile a big list of various resources.

5.Blog carnival is a big resource. Haven't tried it yet. You can join a blog carnival and learn what it is all about. Then, you can host one which will attract several blog posts posts.

Resources for blog content.

When I tried to motivate some of my close friends to blog and earn in their spare time, the first question all of them asked was, "What to blog about?".

Though I found the question as not very intelligent, I don't blame them. Initially, most of the bloggers will be dazed when they enter blogopshere. Not everyone is fully well versed with internet marketing.

For such newbies who don't have a clue to what to write in their blogs, here is an excellent blog post that I read just now. It is titled “23 Great Ideas For Blog Posts”
The author of the blog is Pat B. Doyle.

I like to point out one of the 23 points.
"Take something that is controversial and tell how you feel about it. Just be careful to be respectful to both sides. You don’t want it to turn into a flame war. Besides, it is just more professional to state your opinion in a calm, objective way."

The said widget provided by Roll Sense can be good addition to bloggers who are busy to update their blog on a regular basis. Their regular readers will find something to read and thus won't be disappointed.

I like several features while creating this widget.

· You decide where the recommended articles come from

· recommended articles relate to the post a reader reads

· you can track the inbound traffic from other sites using rollSense, as well as the outbound traffic you generate to your trusted sources of information

· rollSense can also be used to only display the latest posts from your blogroll or posts filtered by your keywords.

The sidebar in my blog is already very long; otherwise I would have installed the widget in this blog as an example.
