Is it important to reply to all comments ?

You can say I don’t have the true qualities of blogger which is replying to comments. I admit I don’t have the patience mainly because majority of the comments are rubbish.

One of the common mistakes that people make with their own blog is not paying enough attention to   the comments people leave. They either don't respond or they take too long to post a reply.  I sometimes close the commenting facility.

Those are all big mistakes and you are about to find out why.  The first benefit to replying to all of the comments that people leave is that it proves you are a real person. People prefer to deal with people rather than businesses that don't have a face.

Replying to comments makes you more real and they will begin to think you have more of a connection. When they feel more connected, they are more likely to trust you and the products and services you recommend.

Making personal replies to the comments also shows that you are interested.  People will be more likely to leave comments or to ask questions if they are convinced they will actually get a response. Another big benefit to replying to each comment that someone leaves is that it adds another comment to your blog.

The search engine like to see that people are interested in your content and having a large number of comments (even though half of them are your replies) will get you ranked higher in the search engines.

If you pay attention to the reply you give to each comment, you can get even more of a benefit. Instead of just giving a standard answer, you can also include a question or an interesting comment.

This will likely produce another response from the person who originally posted. It will also prompt additional discussion from other people who are reading the comments.

If you have a blog, remember to pay attention to the comments, and respond to every one.  It helps your search rankings and will keep people coming back for more.

Do you know how to comment on blogs?

If you say yes, then let me ask you a question.

Will you spend time to read the blog post fully before commenting or would you just read others' comments and compose your comment without ever fully reading the blog post?

Oh yes, one more question.

Would you comment even that blog post did not offer 'comment luv', the facility given to you to leaver a link back?

I have observed that the comments are more if there is a 'comment luv' offer. Most of the links that are left behind by the commentators are totally irrelevant to the blog post that they have commented on. This clearly indicates that they comment only to get a link back.

I abhor this practice.

Do not leave a comment if you have nothing to offer something meaningful.

How To Get More Comments On Your Blog Posts?

I find it always excited to read genuine comments on my blog post. When you realize that your blog post is read by a total stranger, it gives you a heady feeling.  However, not all of our blog posts attract commentators.
Why?
How to get more comments on your blog posts?

I noticed that the most obvious way to encourage comments on blog posts is to ask for them by placing a question for discussion at the bottom of the post. Sometimes, it would appear very apt if the question is placed in the middle of the blog-what do you say?

The question for discussion should relate heavily to the subject being discussed in the blog post and should concentrate on some point you mentioned in your post that different people could have a wide variety of different opinions on.

By focusing on a question that people will have different opinions on you will find that your blog commentators will begin discussing their answers between themselves.

Another way to encourage discussion in your blog comments is to include a lot of your own opinions in your posts. Opinions tend to be highly subjective, and other people will have their own subjective opinions and will feel compelled to share them in the comments. This will lead to commentators commenting on each other's opinions and can lead to some dynamic and interesting discussions in the comment section.

Posting about controversial topics can also lead to some active discussions in the comments area of your blog. People love controversy, and love to discuss their own opinions on it. Because, controversy tends to be highly topical, you may find your blog post attracting a lot of search engine traffic from people searching for information on the subject of the controversy, or searching for a place to discuss it.

Avoid making controversial posts that are just designed to misinform and stir up trouble though, as these type of posts will just build a bad reputation for your site. A better approach is to openly play devils’ advocate on a controversial topic to encourage discussion from different viewpoints.

However, use this option occasionally only.

These are only basic guidelines. You are advised to apply your unlimited imagination in incorporating discussion material into your posts.

50 do follow blogs with pagerank.

There may have been several algorithm updates from Goggle named after Penguin and Panda.
Webmasters and bloggers might have changed their link building and traffic generation strategies in accordance with such updates.

In spite of that, there is one internet marketing strategy that has not changed. It is commenting on blogs of similar niche. The IM community firmly believes that traffic from comments and reviews are 100% targetted. I too follow the crowd.

This segment of increasing blog visitors would stay though it may not add to your backlinks because of changes in search engines' workings. I foresee some reversals in acknowledging these genuine backlinks by the search engines. Once that happens, bloggers would realise the importance of leaving comments on blog posts that are approved by the blog authors.

Of course, blogs that have removed the default 'no follow' attributes can only pass on the benefits of links left on them. These 'do follow' blogs are great resources for bloggers.

Sometime back, I stumbled on to an excellent list of 50 do follow blogs with their page ranks. I request you to make use of them. The list was compiled by Bloggingtipstoday.com, and I shared it in listly.

Looking for new commentators to your blog posts?

A true blogger loves to see comments on his blog posts. I find it exciting to read the familiar notification in red color in by blogger dashboard that reads, "A comment is awaiting for moderation".  I dro any other work and go about moderating the comment in queue.

I first visit the commentator's profile, read his linked website. See, his comment even before getting approved brought a unique visitor to his website/blog.

If I find the link is relevant to my blog's niche, then, I invariably approve the comment even if the comment indicates it is not a genuine comment and made just to get a backlink.

If you wear my shoes, then, visit the following linkedin group, read the terms, join and get active boss! Enjoy your role as a commentator as well as a comment moderator.
Here is the link to join the comment group. http://www.linkedin.com/groups?gid=4958501&trk=hb_side_g

Here is the requirement posted by the creator of the linkedin group.
"Well members post two links to articles they want comments on and all members who have a similar niche comment on your article in exchange for you commenting on theirs."

Don't waste time by commenting on blogs.

I read several blogs daily by subscribing to their RSS feed. While I remember some of the blogs and their author, I don't remember many though I remember their useful content and never fail to give credit to them.

Hellbound Bloggers is one such blog that has great content for bloggers. It publishes some extraordinary guest posts. Today, I read in one such guest blog post in Hellbound Bloggers that the Google Panda algorithm has busted the technique of building backlinks by blog commenting on do follow blogs.

The author of Hellbound Bloggers is Pradeep Kumar and he is from my dear old Madras. Now, I will remember him for long.

Don't comment on blogs.

I too got carried away by the promise of blog traffic by commenting on blogs on similar niche. It is a big waste of time. After all, how much traffic you can expect from the links you place along with your comments?

These, comments are not welcome by experienced bloggers. New bloggers might be too eager to approve all the comments including spam comments in order to attract more comments. Slowly, they will see the futility in blog comments.

Blog comment is very useful in getting quality inbound links provided, if you place your comment and a link to your blog in a "dofollow" blog. Well, out of that, you may get a trickle of visitors.

These days, I am seeing only messages in my blog comments that I promptly mark as spam. Paid blog commentators use my blogs as message boards. Their few nonsense words will not reflect that they have read your blog post.

I believe several professional blog commenters are using automatic blog commenting software.

High PR do follow blog list for sale.

I wonder why people make these sorts of comments! Who will approve these rubbish texts and images? I think these are people who take money to comment. It is a pity that people waste their money by outsourcing pathetic blog commentators.

Can anyone tell me what these numbered blogs mean? How in the first place people place them in their profile while commenting? Are they supposed to be Chinese?

Those who outsource such link building work should ensure that their job is carried out sincerely. I have a team of people who assure their comments will be approved. I have a big list of high PR 'Do Follow' blogs. But I sell my list for $5.

Anyone want it?
