Why finding bloggers of your niche is important.

Did you think that communicating with bloggers of your niche is not a good idea as it will take your blog's readers away from your blog?

If so, you are wrong. The Internet is too vast to be a competition to anyone.

Communicating with other bloggers who blog about similar topics will get you fresh targeted readers to your blog.

There is a term called authority. Linking to similar niche blogs will definitely increase your blog's authority on the topic. If you are familiar with technorati ranking, you will know what I am talking about.

Find blogs of your niche in:
Technorati
Blog Catalog
Blogging directories
Google and Yahoo groups

Seeded Buzz helps us to get backlinks.

As I already blogged, Seeded Buzz is really active in blogosphere. Today, I received an email from them urging me to make use of their guest posts options to get precious one way back links and also gain new readers to my blog.

Yes, the method of offering guest blog posts has proven to be effective and many popular bloggers keep writing about this method in their blogs.

SeededBuzz allows us to view Seeds that have Guest Buzz invites. We can then send a Private Message to the blogger that has published the invitation to make a guest post.

You will find a tab 'Latest Invites'. Click on that to quickly view guest post invitations. Bloggers that allow guest posts always give a free back link to the guest blogger.

Increase link popularity instantly.

Opinion may differ but there is a semblance of truth in the effectiveness of increasing the link popularity through reciprocal link exchange.

There is a widespread opinion that reciprocal link exchange has fallen out of Google's favoritism. Why then Google is giving a widget to host your own blogroll in your blog? Some (many?) say that reciprocal link exchange should be done with only related blogs.

I beg to differ. I really like to visit several blogs on a regular basis that are not in my blog's niche. Why shouldn't I include them in the list of my favorites?

Blogosphere is a big community of helping each other and I think it is ethical to exchange links with the blogs I like.

If you agree with me, use Links Pal to exchange links. It is free. You can exchange links with blogs in your niche also as the links are neatly categorized.

Are you using Feedburner for blog's popularity?

Even before Google acquired FeedBurner, it was extremely popular in the blogosphere. Very few might not have utilized it even though are aware of FeedBurner only as a feed aggregator.

Have you noticed the number many blogs indicate in the FeefBurner icon? It is the number of people who have subscribed to RSS feed of the blogs. As the number is higher, the more popular the blog is.

Next, if the number of subscribers are high, then you will receive an email from them stating that your blog has been approved for feed advertising. This means, thy will advertise sponsors ads in your feed and your feed subscribers will exposed to the ads when they read your feed. You are paid for this a CPM basis.

Also, their traffic analysis is a very good indicator of your blog's popularity.
