Search engine blogs that we must read.

Whether we read blogs in our sam niche or not, we should read the blogs of search engines daily without fail.

I am glad to have read a blog post titled, "10 search engine blogs...". To me, it is a source of very useful information. Every blogger who is striving very hard to rank high in the search engine results should know what is going on in the search engine industry.

I have an ardent desire to master the art of searching the Internet using search engines. As a blogger, I should be proud to claim that I can bring the exact search results for any thing in less than 2 minutes. It is my aim.

Do you know that he Pandia Search Central gives Internet surfers access to several tools that will help them become more able net searchers.? This I read in above mentioned blog post.

Visit the link now and read the content thoroughly. I thank the blogger Prashant Vikram Singh.

How to submit your blog to Yahoo.

Again thanking the 'TechnoGeek' that appeared in my previous blog post, I will tell you how to add your website/blog to yahoo.

Copy and paste this URL in your browser: https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit
Then enter your URL and click 'Submit'. Please note that it may take several weeks for the Yahoo appointed crawler to see your presence. Even then, Yahoo says there is no guarantee that your submission will be listed; the reason being they will list only quality websites or blogs.

Well, I did my duty and left the result to God and Yahoo is a sort of God to all of us-right?

The Krillion inspired concept.

After fixing an appointment with all the residents in our street, an appliances dealer brought his big van containing Whirlpool range of washing machines, refrigerators and microwave ovens.

On the side of the van, a large colorful banner on which Whirlpool Ranges was written. Everybody in our street appreciated this novel concept of bringing the consumer durables shop at our door step saving us precious time.

While acknowledging our gratitude, the dealer admitted that he was inspired by Krillion, the search engine that takes into account the locality of the person searching for something and produces results accordingly.

This unique Krillion Localization Engine scours the Web to find, integrate and present actionable local search results for the ready-to-buy consumer. Krillion delivers local search results that combine very specific product information with very specific locality information.

This idea was further improved by this dealer of appliances and there it is the entire range of Whirlpool in front of us.

What is a social search engine?

I am encountering the word, ‘Social Search Engine’ daily; well, almost daily! (Smile)

Wikipedia says, “A social search engine is a type of search engine that determines the relevance of search results by considering the interactions or contributions of users”.

Yes, that makes some sense o my normally dull mind.

Social search takes many forms, ranging from simple shared bookmarks or tagging of content with descriptive labels to more sophisticated approaches that combine human intelligence with computer algorithms.

Anoox is a social search engine that is rated high. I paid a visit to it but could find any clue to its high regards. “AnooX search results are Powered by the Knowledge of the People:-here again I don’t understand this concept of search results are powered by people.

Here is an interesting piece of information that I read in their web site. “They hope to reduce the search engine sales to $1 billion per year from the current $10 billion per year.”

Ambedo can be just about anything you want it to be. You can e prefer to call it a search engine tagger or something like that. Depending on what you search for, you often need to use different search engines. Ambedo lets you tag search engines to access them quickly. Ambedo also has a lot of tags and triggers to search for specific items easier

You need to register if you want to submit your blogs. After logging in, go to 'Edit your Tags' link and just follow the instructions. It is easy work.

Use this search engine as a means to get link popularity.

Searching for people?

Ok, we all know how to search for a particular product that are available in a specific area. Searching products or services may be easy than searching for people.

Why?
Similar names-Go and type 'Williams' in your address bar. Do it now.
What did you get? 209 million results.

So what is the solution?
Here is a search engine that may be helpful. Free people search by zaba.
I just tried it and compared my search for the same in Google. Zaba made my job easier. The search result provided the list of names with addresses too.

Like Google, Zaba is just a search engine and not a database.

There is an interesting link there. Click on 'Your location' at the bottom and enjoy the result.
