Though experienced bloggers may not find her blogging tutorial very useful, her guide is just great for newbie bloggers who are aiming to earn by blogging.
It's a lot easier than you might think to get started -- there is a short learning curve and then you can have your own blog (or multiple blogs!) up and running before you know it.
You might consider trying to make money on the web through blogging instead of trying to get ahead at a regular 9-to-5 job. Only there are no more '9 to 5 jobs; nowadays, people fork much more than that.
