How to buy Swarovski crystal?

Before I intended to a write a review of a blog that wrote about jewels made of Swarovski crystals, I wanted to read something about it. The word Swarovski is new to me though I might have seen those beautifully colored crystals.

Swarovski is the luxury brand name for the range of precision-cut lead crystal glass and related products produced by companies owned by Swarovski AG of Feldmeilen, near Zürich, Switzerland.

Swarovski crystal contains approximately 32% lead to maximize refraction. The Swarovski Crystal range includes crystal sculptures and miniatures, jewelry and couture, home decor and chandeliers.

Ariana R. Cherry maintains a blogs named Poetry n Jewels because she makes hand made jewelry and she happens to be a poet too.

Her blog post titled, "How to Purchase Swarovski Crystals" has an interesting information. Cherry says we must buy Swarovski crystals only if they are made in Austria because of high quality.

Make sure you buy the real thing! According to the Swarovski Website:

"Swarovski products have a visible Swarovski logo. The products manufactured between1976 and 1988 have an SC logo in block format. Products manufactured since 1988 either have an SCS logo or the Swan logo on them. Some older pieces may have very faint logos. In some cases, the logo may have been hidden behind an adhesive surface."
